A renovation of an 800 SF house in Laurel Park, Northampton, Massachusetts. The whole first floor of this tiny cottage was reworked to create better flow and an open floor plan with a cook's kitchen. The entry was relocated, the bathroom was extended, and laundry was added. The kitchen, with its large eating island, became a great socializing space, fully open to the living room. Simple stock cabinetry, absolute black granite countertops, and open shelving made the kitchen gorgeous to look at as well as great to cook in.
A collaboration with my friend Jena Sujat, the owner, who is also the owner of Pinch in downtown Northampton. It was built by her father, with custom furniture from Sticks & Bricks.
